This is very tame stuff compared to today. One of the standup comics in this or the other Bettie Page color feature film (Varietease) is Joe E. Ross from CAR 54. Innocent fun from a long-gone time.

okay it's your find. I read the IMDB review on it and seems the reviewer was bore with it. Basically, a very long winded and thoroughly uninteresting composition of stuff. More cleavage and more skin is exposed on a Cape Cod beach.

I guess people who are after Hustler Magazine kind of skin would be bored, but it's pretty charming and innocent, IMHO. Bettie Page was a real beauty. She's an icon these days with a lot of young ladies who go for that '50s look. The only films or pictures of Ms. Page that I don't like are the graphic bondage ones she did later.

As if it really doesn't measure up to the average quality of the other films here. Please. It's a piece of adult entertainment ephemera, as it shows what burlesque was like in the 1950s.

Bettie was a doll. Those old burlesque films are good fun. Something Weird put out a bunch of them on DVD.

I got those. I'll see if they have the SWV watermark. If they don't, I might put up the others. Gotta find 'em first though.

They didn't always. If you remember the "Drive-in Clips Controversy" a while beck, the guy from Screen Attractions said they were the reason Something Wierd puts the watermark on it. But you may be right.

Every SWV disc I've seen has the watermark. Oh well.

What I got is the old videotapes made long before the Image Entertainment takeover. But as you say, they might be watermarked.

Is that the one with her voice heard briefly in the film? I think I saw a clip from it.

I haven't seen it. If you or anyone else finds a copy, it is PD.
